My photo blog is back!!!
With my new website up and running I am able to get back to my weekly round up of my photo diary. This is where you can see what I have been up to all week and have a nose behind the scenes of Louy Magroos Handmade Jewellery.
So here we go...
I love making the bracelets, they are my favourite of my personalised collection at the moment.
Any other jewellers go through solder block at a rate of knots? I don't know how I manage to break them into so many pieces, I don't even remember dropping this one! Might be time to treat myself to a new one though as I ckeep dropping pieces down the cracks mid solder.
I've be planning on making a dress to take on honeymoon with me, I've never made a dress before, in fact I've only made a simple slip top before so I hold my hands up and say "I might have been a little over confident with this one!". Mikes Mum of Mack and Mable is helping me out and talking me through every step so I am in good hands but this is as far as we got so far and time is slipping away until I go away. If you are a sewer or knitter check out Julie's Blog and Etsy pages here for knitting patterns and here for quilting patterns she makes the most beautiful things.
I picked all the cherries off my tree, I ran out of time to make anything so I popped them in the freezer for now, so if you have any ideas on what I can do with these Morello Cherries please do let me know!
I went to meet up with some Jewellery Uni friends during the week for a long over due catch up. It's lovely to see them but it does make me miss working in the workshop with them, not just for the giggles but to share what we are making etc too.
This is Birmingham Bullring lit up on an evening, it's a 'Marmite' building, you either love it or hate it and I wholeheartedly LOVE it!
This was an order I made for a customer this week, I really liked the Brides choice of layout for these cufflinks to give to her Groom on the wedding morning.
The wild flowers in the park are really making me smile at the moment, you can hear them before you can see them as they are full of busy bees buzzing about them (that's not easy to say out loud)
I have also been VERY busy with wedding prep but I can't show you those pictures so it doesn't give too much away before the big day, but here is sneak peek of something which I think must have been inspired in my subconscious in some way by those beautiful wild flowers in the park :-)
Have a great week
